To All Prospective Offerors:
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Malawi is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced construction firms, or consortiums, interested in supplying and installing two-room, prefabricated classroom blocks and pit latrines at each of 33 (thirty-three) existing schools in the cities of Malawi as described in Section C of this solicitation.
USAID/Malawi intends to award a firm fixed-price type contract with no adjustments for escalation in costs or prices of labor or materials. Each Offeror will be responsible for determining the amount of labor and materials that will be required to complete the project and for pricing its proposal accordingly. The construction completion time is 180 calendar days, commencing 30 days after the Notice to Proceed.
Before submission of the proposal in response to this solicitation, Offerors must read the entire document. Please pay special attention to Section L.3 “Qualifications of Offerors”. Sections B through J of this solicitation will become the basis for the contract and any blanks in Sections B through J will be completed by the Contracting Officer before award.
