➢ To provide architecture and engineering services to Missions and Operating Units for infrastructure development and risk mitigation. It supports the entire life -cycle of infrastructure activities:
➢ To provide specialized technical support and advice to USAID and participating host government entities and regulatory bodies , in overall institutional, community, and industry capacity development , for long term sustainability of infrastructure.

➢ Helps to reduce risk in infrastructure activities, through the use of the most qualified A&E firms in the U.S.
➢ Promotes the utilization of U.S engineering firms , in alignment with USAID’s report to Congress to increase the participation of U.S. engineering firms in the development of physical infrastructure projects .
➢ Advances USAID’s capacity building efforts to promote self-reliance in infrastructure sectors, by partnering U.S. A&E expertise with local technical personnel in host country .
➢ Demonstrates that the U.S. sets world standard on engineering and technical concepts, with solutions that emphasize environmental and social safeguards .
➢ Addresses increased demand from new infrastructure -related initiatives (i.e.:
Indo-Pacific Strategy, Clear Choice, Great Power Competition, DFC)
