About this file
This document is Amendment 0003 to a federal solicitation (Solicitation No. 70Z0G125BBBOS0115) for a fire alarm system upgrade project at multiple buildings, likely at a U.S. Coast Guard base in Boston. The amendment extends the bid due date to September 16, 2025 at 2:00 pm local time and provides detailed responses to 31 contractor questions covering technical specifications, compliance requirements, and project scope.
Key project details include upgrading fire alarm systems to meet NFPA, Massachusetts state, and City of Boston codes, with specific requirements for Building 8 (a high-rise), Building 14's blast bay, and kitchen/server hood fire suppression systems. The project involves testing and recertifying existing systems, potentially converting fire alarm systems in SCIF areas from copper to fiber, ensuring ADA compliance for device placement, and coordinating with other ongoing base projects. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 0700-1600, excluding federal holidays, with potential for off-hours work by special request.
