About this file

This document is an amendment to a solicitation for maintenance dredging services at Mooring Station Ballast Point in San Diego, California. The United States Coast Guard is seeking a contractor to dredge the area to required depths between September 16, 2023 and March 31, 2024, with all work to be completed by the latter date. The amendment provides responses to request for information questions about survey files, security barriers, allowable dredging hours which are limited to daylight due to biological monitoring requirements, and clarifies that liquidated damages do not apply to the contract.

Reference Appendix B2-Survey: It is requested that the electronic xyz files from the most recent survey be provided for review.

Response 2:

Separately attached to this Amendment No. 2 are 2 (two) separate files with the most recent surveys.

One of which is a normal “PDF” file. NOTE: The other file is a “Zipped” CAD specific which you must have a WIN-ZIP type and CAD applications installed to open & view.

Question 3:

Reference Appendix B4-Map: Will the Contractor be required to dredge within the footprint of the

Naval Base Point Loma’s security barrier? The location of the barrier moves in and out with the currents, so the location of this barrier is variable.

Question 4:

Reference Specifications 01 10 00-General Paragraphs, 1.10-Continuity of Facilities Operation, Endangered Species Act Section 7(a)(2) Concurrence Letter:
