Questions and Answers – USCGC SYCAMORE – 70Z08524RIBCT0003
1. Work item D-014, paragraphs 3.3, 3.4, and several others reference SFLC STD SPEC 3101, however, this SFLC was not included in the original package we received. Can you please provide SFLC STD SPEC 3101 so we may review?
SFLC Standard Specifications can be searched on the internet and obtained from the USCG website at:
https://www.dcms.uscg.mil/our-organization/assistant-commandant-for-engineering-logistics-cg-4 /logistic-centers/surface-forces-logistics-center/contracting-links/standard-specifications/
2. Work item D-002, paragraph 3.1.4.2 states to dispose of removed fluids, but an immediate paragraph of the same number (3.1.4.2) states to stow fluids at suitable facility and restow tank contents upon completion of work. Then, in paragraph 4.3, it states Ships Force will procure new fluids & refill tanks. Which does the USCG want to happen? Dispose of fluids or store & restow? Please advise.
This work item has an error. Disregard second paragraph. Fluids should be disposed of. Changes will be made in the SPECS.
3. Requesting of the 27 items, which one do you consider a critical path item?
The thruster generator overhaul will be a critical path item due to the time and effort required.
Additionally many of the tank inspects/preserves will need to be completed simultaneously.
