Q1: WI-005 Dual Point Davit: Table 3, Task 4 NDE, for bidding purposes how many LF of

NDE?

A1: Approx. 20 LF of NDE

Q2: WI-005 Dual Point Davit: Sea Trials, All operational testing will be proven satisfactory and completed pier side and OEM request no Sea Trial presence.

A2: Sea trials are required as the davit cannot be used when moored starboard side to. The tech rep will have to ride the ship for sea trials.

Q3: WI-010 Compartment Insulation, paragraph 3.3, during the ship check, it was determined the intent of prep/prime and paint would only apply to failing paint, basically all failing paint would be power tooled and feather back to tight and re-coat, basically 3.7 Touch-Up Preservation, would this be acceptable?

A3: Correct, failing paint only. Touch-up preservation is acceptable

Q4: WI-011Ship Service Diesel Generator Exhaust Piping Insulation Renew: During the ship check, it appears the CG is just looking for new high temp blankets? is this correct?.

A4: Currently the lagging on the exhaust stacks of each SSDG past the expansion joint around the first flange and after has deteriorated due to inadequate protection and exposure to heat. We need this hard lagging approximately replaced with new lagging to the face of the flange plate. In addition, all the high temp exhaust blankets must be replaced.

Q5: WI-022 Overhead Insulation Install: Paragraph 3.2 Surface Preservation, the current overhead coatings are 99% intact, contractor recommends to prep, prime and paint any failing paint, basically 3.7 Touch-Up Preservation, would this be acceptable?
