4. NOTES

This section is not applicable to this work item.

Space (AMMR) needs to be gas freed and certified for hot work. S/F is unable to certify for contractor. S/F will clean the surrounding bilges to be best ability to ensure we pass the gas free test. Installed ventilation can be used during hot work to remove fumes. Small exhaust fan with trunks might be required to remove fumes from the immediate surrounding area.

I’m OK with draining sea water into the bilge. I would, however, prefer that contractor sets up an oily waste offload (picking up associated costs). We can estimate it to be 3000 gallons to be on the safe side (there is going to be a lot of water in those pipes once we break flanges open).

If LRE is in the pinch and funding is short, s/f can set up and fund the offload. This is the least preferable option.

Temp patch should be listed in the interferences list. Belzona and synthoglass will be difficult to remove and might require pipe cutting/replacement.

This might be problematic as system can’t be isolated. NDT + op test will be sufficient.
