USCGC HARRY CLAIBORNE FY DS REPAIRS
SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE
The purpose of this amendment is to answer the following questions:
1. Will USCG provide the proper permits to transfer petroleum products or contaminated liquids from ship to shore through hoses, barrels, buckets, or totes including oily rags, bilge slops, wash wasters, spent hydraulic oil from the crane, or other wastes developed from the scopes of work?
ANSWER: USCG does not provide permits or additional expenses in the form of change orders for hazardous waste removal. The USCG facility does have its own procedures, and will inform the contractor, that is awarded the contract, of these specific procedures closer to time. During this working relationship, the USCG facility will also provide the generator number for the contractor that is awarded the contract. Also, 175’s do not have LBP or asbestos onboard.
2. Will USCG provide a generator number for disposal of wastes generated by cleaning activities?
