Question and Answers 70Z08424QDL940021
• Can we use DMP equipment instead of Honeywell? The equipment has to be TAA compliant and comply with DHS and Electronic Security Systems standards provided in the purchase package. This is also outlined in the SOW.
• There are 3 Partition with 6 keypads, on the site walk it appeared that there is 1 keypad for the Secure Room, 1 for the Armory and 4 for the rest of the building. Can you please confirm and state the rest of the locations? That is accurate
• Will any keypad operate multiple partitions or are they specific to their own zone?
They're to operate their respective zones only. One shall not control another.
• Are all interior Cables in conduits? Yes, unless there's a preexisting mass cable run already in place.
• Where can cables be free aired? If I understand this correctly, they can't. See ESS standards.
• For the outdoor exposed Metal pipes are these EMT or Rigid conduit? Rigid
• Can we get a drawings of these spaces and locations? Provided.
• Do they have dial up or internet connection to the mega center? We have an analog phone line available to connect the server to the DHS MegaCenter,.
• Are the above ceiling motions for just above the comms closet or for the entire secure space? The entire secure space.
• The Motion Detection section of the SOW reads - Ultrasonic Systems (Preferred): or
Microwave Systems:
Are these the only permissible options. These types are very expensive and have lower range. Can we use Passive Infrared (PIR) Sensors? We're going to have to ask DHS. This will take a couple days to answer.
• The amount of devices with their tamper zones will require more zones than the 128 requested.
• How do you want us to deal with this issue?
We can either daisy chain tamper zones which will make it more difficult to ID problems that might arise or use a different panel that offers more zones. Use a different panel if needed. the priority is that it supports the number of sensors.
• Thank you for sending over the better map of the facility. I had one other question regarding this solicitation and hoping you can help. The specification calls for Honeywell Vista 128 Panel, however I am wondering if your team will accept an approved equal with
DMP (Digital Monitoring Products). DMP is an acceptable IDS panel for the connection to the Denver Mega Center. From their website is the below wording regarding the acceptable IDS panels: The MegaCenter will accept UL commercially listed panels from the following manufacturers: Honeywell (Ademco), Bosch
(Radionics), or Digital Monitoring Products (DMP). All alarm systems must have a zone assigned to the alarm system Panel Tamper. Proprietary panels will not be accepted.
As long as DHS says they'll support, we're good with it
