About this file
This amendment to a solicitation provides additional details regarding hazardous waste collection and disposal services required by the U.S. Coast Guard Base in Boston, Massachusetts. The contractor will be responsible for transportation and disposal of various hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials on a monthly basis, with estimated annual quantities provided for each waste type. These include items such as oily rags, oil filters, waste oil, bilge water, paints, batteries, light tubes, and other chemicals. The amendment identifies the incumbent contractor and contract number to provide context. Pricing will be based on a fixed monthly unit rate to account for fluctuations in waste volumes. No response date or award date is included in this amendment, which serves to answer questions from potential offerors about workload details and the incumbent contractor.

Amendment 00001
Question 1:
The price schedule indicates the USCG is requesting a fixed monthly unit rate to provide various hazardous and non-hazardous waste transportation and disposal services. Since the waste type and volume may vary month to month, can the USCG provide a benchmark or expectation so the contractor can propose a cost effective fixed unit rate that accurately accounts for a fluctuating cost environment?
Answer:
Please see page 3 through 5
Question 2:
Could you please tell me if this is a new requirement, or if there is a current or previous contractor who has performed similar services? If available, can you please send along the incumbent contract or task order number?
Answer:
This is not a new requirement. The incumbent is Envirosmart. Contract# HSCG84-10-N-AA1359.
