QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
RFQ NO. 70Z08418QAA152400
AMENDMENT NO. 4
QUESTION 1:
For clarification, the contract references 35 and 42 yard compactors, I would like to know if you actually mean receiver box or do you have self-contained compactors as they are two different things.
Typically stationary compactors range in size from 2 to 6 yards and have a 42 yard receiver box attached to them, where as 35 yard self-contained compactors are just one unit.
ANSWER 1:
We have 3 yard compactors attached to each of our 35 and 42 yard dumpsters. Yes, the 35 yard has a detachable compactor, which the Government owns.
QUESTION 2:
The disposal price for compactors is based on a per ton price, and to ensure that quotes are equally evaluated, how many tons per haul should we factor into our price?
ANSWER 2:
Historically there is 2 to 4 tons per load, which averages approximately 3.2 tons.
