About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity 70Z08126QELIZ0002, Building 48 Female Restroom Rehabilitation. The document does not contain specific information regarding response dates, award dates, pricing terms, set-asides, or federal agencies, as it addresses clarifications to the solicitation rather than primary contract requirements.
The Q&A addresses technical and administrative specifications for the restroom rehabilitation project. Key clarifications include: the new shower must have 36-inch x 36-inch interior dimensions with a 90-degree wall; partition walls may be adjusted as necessary for ceiling access panel trim (approximately 1 inch); no additional site visits are scheduled beyond those already conducted; no permits are required, though the Government's Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) will oversee in-process inspections while the Prime Contractor maintains all quality control responsibility. The contract duration breakdown is documented in sections 10a and 10b of the Scope of Work, reconciling the SF-1442 indication of approximately 151 calendar days with the 45 workdays referenced in the Scope of Work. Anticipated inspections and testing to be observed by the COR include rough-in inspection, water supply testing using building water pressure, shower pan flood testing, and final inspection for leakage and drainage. Additional drawings are provided for reference only, with the Contractor responsible for confirming and verifying all layouts, dimensions, and measurements. The Government has identified no known hazardous materials in the project area and does not anticipate any slab modifications. Payment bond requirements are specified in block 12a of the SF-1442 and FAR clauses 52.228-13 and 52.228-14.
