About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity 70Z08026QPBPL0028 related to Douglas Denman work.
The document addresses a single clarification question regarding Work Item 3, Table 1, Item 10, which directs the contractor (KTR) to perform inspection and preservation of void 3-0-0-V. The question sought clarification on an apparent conflict between the inspection and preservation requirements in Table 1 and conditional preservation language in Section 3.3 that references approved Change Requests. The government's answer clarifies that vendors must include the inspection and preservation requirements for void 3-0-0-V in their initial quote for that work item. Section 3.3 provisions are conditional and only apply if repairs are subsequently required and approved via Change Request, at which point the void would require proper coating following those repairs. This response establishes that the baseline inspection and preservation work is mandatory and not contingent on change requests.

DOUGLAS DENMAN QUESTIONS
70Z08026QPBPL0028
1. Work item 3, Table 1 item 10 directs KTR to perform both an inspect and preserve of void 3-0-0-V. However, paragraphs 3.3.x associate preservation of this void with an approved Change Request. Will USG clarify?
Answer: Table 1 directs the inspection and preservation of void 3-0-0-V. Vendors shall include the inspection and preservation requirements for that void in their quote for that work item.
Section 3.3 is conditional, IF repairs happen to be required and are approved via CR the void would need to be properly coated after those repairs.
