About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a solicitation for dockside repair of the USCGC Dolphin. The solicitation seeks cleaning and inspection of grey water, sewage, and other holding tanks, as well as maintenance of MDE W-5 equipment. Repairs to watertight closures are also required. The Coast Guard will observe repair tasks but not perform contract work. Chemical waste must be removed by the contractor, while water and sewage can be pumped to shore connections when tests indicate no hazards remain. Separate restroom facilities for crew need not be provided. Doors will arrive unpainted for the Coast Guard to paint. Moving an HVAC control panel is possible if unbolted.
