SOLICITATION AMENDMENT 70Z08018QP45F7600/0004 PAGE 2 OF 2

Question 1: Solicitation Page 12 cites Required Documents Item 8, “Pre-Award Dry Dock Calculations for US Coast Guard 210’ Cutter.” Please confirm that “210’ Cutter” should be “270’ Cutter.”

Answer: Should cite Pre-Award Dry Dock Calculations for U.S. Coast Guard 270’ Cutter.

Question 2: Clarify that Pre-Award Dry Dock Calculations is required with the quote or at a later time in the award process. If required with the quote, please provide hydrostatic information and the expected condition of the vessel when it enters the drydock per Standard Specification 8634, section 3.5.1.2 and A2.5.

Answer: Pre-Award Dry Dock Calculations are required to be provided with offer prior to solicitation due time and date. Offerors should use the full load conditions that are given in Work Item 31 (Drydock) of the specifications to submit the Pre-Award Dry Dock Calculations. Offerors should not use the “expected” condition of the vessel for Pre-Award Dry Dock Calculation. Paragraph A2.5 of SFLC Standard Specification 8634 does not apply to the Pre-Award Dry Dock Calculations, this paragraph refers to the Docking Calculations that will pertain to the apparent successful offeror once that offer has been identified by the Contracting Officer.

Question 3: Please confirm there are no requirements to overhaul, inspect and preserve the anchors and anchor chains. It’s noted that the anchors and anchor chains are removed to complete Work Item 38 (Chain Locker, Preserve).

Answer: Anchors and chains are not required to be overhauled or inspected.

Question 4: WI 36, paragraph 3.3.1; and WI 44, paragraph 3.3.5 state “If surface preparation involves the removal of lead paint, ensure that no visible coatings remain on any part of the substrate, including pitted areas”. It is unknown until inspection is performed to estimate sqft of lead based paint abatement if existing. Contractor proposes to issue a CFR and if lead based paint abatement is required, to be treated as a Change Order after USCG Inspector’s approval. Please advise.

Answer: Condition Found Report (CFR) is to be issued upon completion of inspection and issue Change

Request (CR) if lead-based paint abatement is required.

All other terms and conditions remain the same.
