QUESTIONS & ANSWERS TO SOLICIATION: 70Z040-19-Q-P30E57

QUESTION 1:

3 ITEMS:

A. Please confirm this opportunity is not a Small Business set aside.

The Synopsis text copy on fbo.gov states: THIS ACQUISITION IS SET ASIDE FOR SMALL

BUSINESS. THE NAICS IS 336611. THE BUSINESS SIZED STANDARD IS 1250. THE

CONTRACT TYPE WILL BE A FIRM FIXED PRICE PURCHASE ORDER.

However in the left Column under “Set Aside” is state N/A.

The 3 documents under Packages do not appear to speak to Set Aside.

B. What is the maximum QTY of vessels that depot maintenance will be performed on for the 70Z040-19-Q-P30E57 scope?

The title references “Vessels 32100 & 32111”, and the CLIN 1, QTY references 1.

C. Should the price for all vessels be identified as CLIN 1?

Q1 ANSWERS:

I have corrected the quantity to indicate 2 jobs. Your company’s official bid/quote should include the price per each vessel along with a combined grand total.

This is a Small Business contract however, we are not limiting this award to a specific type. The Federal Regulation Clauses number 22 is marked for “Post Award Small Business”. The Contracting Officer (KO) will award this solicitation accordingly.

QUESTION 2:

In relation to the following Solicitation references:

1. “Offeror facility/where repairs will be conducted must be within 60 miles of a U.S. Coast

Guard Port Security Unit (PSU)”.

2. “The Contractor shall bear the transportation cost from the original point of delivery to the

Contractor’s plant and return to the original point when that point is not the Contractor’s plant.”

Which Port Security Units are the boats located at?

We assume the 2 VESSELS (+trailers, etc.) to perform repairs on are 32100 & 32111 (as stated in title).

Q2 ANSWERS:

The assets needing service will be ship to the contractor location, I hope this answer your question.

QUESTION 3:

Question: What is the geographic location the Offeror facility must be within 60 miles 32100 & 32111, to comply?

“Offeror facility/where repairs will be conducted must be within 60 miles of a U.S. Coast Guard Port Security Unit (PSU)”.

Q3 ANSWER:

The 60 miles restriction has been removed; the solicitation has been reposted.

QUESTION 4:

Is there a cut off for questions on this opportunity?

Will all questions asked be posted to the fbo.gov site?
