Response to RFI’s 70Z03024QCLEV0110 – Grounds Maintenance and Snow Removal
1. What is total square footage of the areas to be serviced?
We do not know the total square footage, but vendors can use google satellite image to see the space. Also, we have attached 02 photos showing the areas needing service to the bottom of this document.
2. What are the areas that need serviced for the snow removal and grounds keeping?
At the bottom of this document are two pictures giving a general outlook of areas needing each service. Almost all services will be within the fence lines of the base except for the roadway leading from each gated vehicle entry point to the street.
You can also find the areas requiring work in the SOW.
3. Is there an incumbent?
We do not have an existing contract in place and haven’t had a contract since I have been here. (03 years)
4. What is the total contract value and length?
The contract length is one year with optional years at the end.
5. Is the scope of work the same as the previous contract?
The scope was newly developed by MKC Jacob Gross and the MSU.
6. The SOW 2.6 states that the weeds will be disposed of in accordance with Paragraph 3.7. However, paragraph 3.7 is missing.
This is just an error on the SOW. Paragraph 2.6 should say:
All landscaped areas shall have all weeds removed at least once per month. If chemical weed control is used it shall be EPA approved and shall not harm the landscape. Weed growing in parking lots and other undesirable areas shall be sprayed once per month. All removed weeds shall be disposed of in accordance with paragraph 2.7.
And paragraph 2.7 explains how to properly dispose of all materials in 2.6.
7. Where are the bid documents?
all bid docs are on SAM.gov
8. What content details need to be in the proposal? (past performance, capability statement, etc.)
we will need a bid with monthly cost for the months listed in the solicitation for Snow Removal/ Lawn Maintenance.
9. Is this a Net 30 pay schedule?
Vendor will be paid through IPP.gov. Vendor must be enrolled.
8. Can the speed bumps on base be removed during the inclement weather season and put back in during the spring?
The speed bumps can be removed, as long as they restore them back to functioning condition once the inclement weather months are complete.
9. Can a single parking space be used at the facility for the contractor’s equipment?
A parking lot spot can be reserved for equipment.
