About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document (Amendment 0001 Attachment Page) addressing clarifications on a federal contract opportunity for pump station rehabilitation work.

The primary work scope involves rehabilitating an existing pump station (PS) with epoxy coating and replacing pumps, as detailed in the Statement of Work (SOW). Contractors must follow SOW requirements rather than reference plans, which are provided for informational purposes only regarding previous projects. References to Washington Street and Strawberry Street in the plans are obsolete and should be disregarded as they pertain to a former housing site no longer owned by the contracting government entity (USCG). The Government will supply the new pumps; however, contractors must provide slide rail pump bases as these are not included in the Government-furnished equipment. The submission deadline has been extended to September 1, 2026 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, providing additional time for bid preparation beyond the originally requested extension.

AMENDMENT 0001 ATTACHMENT PAGE

1. QUESTION: The work described in the SOW differs from the provided plans. The SOW states that the pumps are to be replaced, but the plans show the pump station being converted to a gravity manhole, with the sewer running to a City MH at Washington St and Strawberry St. It also states, "See site plans". The site plans do not show this. Also, Washington St and Strawberry St is a long way from the existing PS. Please clarify the work required.

ANSWER: The Plans are for reference only to show what was installed in previous projects. Washington and Strawberry are at the old housing site the CG no longer owns, please ignore. Follow the SOW requirements.

2. QUESTION: The SOW states to rehab the existing PS with epoxy. The Plans show a precast manhole (MH) riser being inserted into the existing pump station (PS). Please clarify the work required.

ANSWER: The Plans are for reference only to show what was installed in previous projects.

Follow the SOW requirements.

3. QUESTION: The SOW states that the USCG will be supplying the new pumps. Will these pumps be furnished with the slide rail pump bases?

ANSWER: No, the Government only ordered the pumps, and the slide rail bases will need be to be supplied by the contractor.

4. QUESTION: Please consider extending the bid date by a couple of weeks.

ANSWER: The government is unable to extend the submission deadline by a couple of weeks, however, the government has extended the submission deadline to 9/1/26 at 10:00 AM Eastern
