Introduction
This document defines the installation of the avionics, electrical equipment and cabin systems, the fabrication and installation of the executive interior furnishings, and the application of exterior paint for the
United State Coast Guard referred to as the BUYER. References to GULFSTREAM throughout this document shall be understood to mean Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. Any variations from this SOW and the current C-37B in production requires written approval from BUYER contracting officer unless said variations are due to obsolescence issues or enhancements in the production aircraft and mutually agreed upon.
BUYER-Approved Documents
This document does not address the final decor and finish treatment of the materials (e.g., woods, fabrics, leathers) that are used in completing the interior of the Aircraft. A design package, which includes a sample of the materials, shall be submitted to the BUYER for approval. GULFSTREAM will confirm projected date of Design Package availability upon assignment of Completion Outfitting Center. Upon release of initial draft, GAC will host Design Package Review with USCG team. The Completion
Package, as mutually agreed upon by the BUYER and GULFSTREAM, shall be comprised of the following documents signed by both parties:

In the event of conflicts between the contents of this document and other technical documents, drawings, layouts, etc. in the Completion Package, the contents of this document shall take precedence.
In no instance, will this document take precedence over the contract terms and conditions.
Terminology
The words “full provisions for...,” “partial provisions for...,” “wiring provisions for...,” ”space provisions for...,” “storage provisions for...,” or “Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)...,” shall have the following meanings whenever used in this document:
“Full provisions for...”
Full provisions for a specific item of equipment, assembly, or installation shall mean that all supports, brackets, tubes, fittings, electrical wiring and connectors, and hydraulic lines have been installed.
Adequate space has been allocated for the future installation of components, i.e., mission equipment without alteration to the specified equipment or the Aircraft. System functional testing and certification shall be accomplished at additional cost when the BUYER purchases the components, i.e., mission equipment. Installations of complete provisions shall be based on the information available at the time of installation and therefore do not imply the completeness of such provisions at any future date.
“Partial provisions for...”
Partial provisions for an item of equipment shall mean that the specified level of system provisions are such that additional labor/material is required to complete installation of the item. Wherever partial provisions are installed, this document shall identify the level of provisions that are to be installed.
“Wiring provisions for...”
Wiring provisions for a specific installation shall mean that only the wiring required for that installation shall be installed, capped and stowed at both ends. Installations of wiring provisions shall be based on the information available at the time of installation and therefore do not imply the completeness of such provisions at any future date.
“Space provisions for...”
Space provisions for a specific installation shall mean that the space required for that installation is unoccupied in the Aircraft. “Space provisions” does not imply that any attaching structure, brackets, bolt holes, electrical wiring and connectors, etc., shall be furnished, designed or installed, or that the installation itself shall be accomplished.
“Storage provisions for...”
Storage provisions for such items as cutlery, glassware, stemware, dishware, china, and digital video discs shall be fabricated. The storage provisions shall consist of standard partitions and racks only.
Custom size racks, partitions and dividers can be fabricated and installed by GULFSTREAM at an additional cost through a Work Change Request.
“Government Furnished Equipment (GFE)”
Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) shall mean items or components, which are to be procured and furnished to GULFSTREAM by the BUYER for use specifically identified in this document or a Work
Change Request. The BUYER shall be fully responsible for any applicable certification requirements, shipping and handling or repair costs. The BUYER must furnish these items in accordance with the completion schedule. It is incumbent on the BUYER to ensure that any GFE is serviceable, are provided with proper FAA documentation (i.e., vendor Certificate of Compliance or 8130 tag if part is repaired), and in proper working order. No schedule/cost impacts relative to unserviceable and/or improperly documented GFE will not be attributed to the GULFSTREAM level of effort.
Additional definitions for application specific terms used in this spec are as follows:
Group A Provisions
The items, parts or components to be permanently or semi-permanently installed in an aircraft to support, secure, interconnect or accommodate specific items of equipment provided in a complementary Group B kit.
Space, Weight, Cooling, and Power
This requirement accommodates future installation of equipment.
Space and weight provisions are based on the volume of generic classes of equipment, which shall allow the future installation of equipment without changes to existing structure, mounting location and other compartment features. Included in the provisions are space and weight for shock mounts, connectors, cooling air, etc. as required. Weight for items in this definition is not included in the specification weight, empty. However, the weight and location of these items shall be determined to not be detrimental to the balance and inertial characteristics of the aircraft. Power provisions require the allocation of generator and battery capacity to add future capability without changing the electrical system configuration. Cooling provisions require the allocation of sufficient cooling capacity to add future capability without changing the cooling system configuration.
Completion Center
The term Completion Center is used commercially to identify the facility at which an FAA flight
Certified, Production “Green Aircraft” undergoes interior outfitting, paint, etc. to meet specific requirements of the BUYER purchasing the completed aircraft. An aircraft undergoing “completion” therefore is being outfitted to meet BUYER requirements.
