About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for the U.S. Coast Guard's Trailerable Aids to Navigation Boat, 2nd Generation (TANB II) procurement (RFP No. 70Z02325R73120001). The document contains three questions and their government responses addressing: 1) clarification that the BLS PPI value in a pricing table will be filled in by the government, not the offeror; 2) a contractor request to add FAR clause 52.229-3 regarding Federal, State and Local Taxes to address potential future tariffs on materials like aluminum, seats and outboard motors, which was denied by the government; and 3) a contractor request for a one-week extension for proposal evaluation, which was also denied by the government.

Q&Rs
| Question No. | Reference | Questions | Responses |
| 1 | Sections III & V | 1. In the table under the new para (c) on page 134, it states “[Insert value at proposal]”. Is that something that we the offeror are supposed to complete or should it be filled in in this amendment? | The BLS PPI value will be filled in by the Government. |
| 2 | General | 1. There are other reciprocal tariffs being discussed beyond a tariff on imported aluminum. Would the Government be amenable to including FAR 52.229-3 Federal, State, and Local Taxes in the solicitation? a. That way if any federal taxes/tariffs are imposed before or after award affecting prices on other goods (such as seats, outboard motors, etc), those increased costs could be negotiated. b. We note the solicitation does include FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions—Commercial Products and Commercial Services (Nov 2023) and that paragraph (k) states "(k) Taxes. The contract price includes all applicable Federal, State, and local taxes and duties." Which we question is taxes and duties at the time of bid. | No, we are not considering adding 52.229-3. |
| 3 | General | Given the complexity of these changes and the need for a thorough analysis, we kindly request an extension of one week to complete our evaluation. | No, we are not considering any additional extensions. |
