Text version

1. My company provided the rentals for the 2014 COC. The scope of work was very similar except the 100'x210' tent was a pole tent that was staked in the ground and the 60'x80' was a structure tent. Did the requirements change or was there a typo on the SOW?

A pole tent is also acceptable. Please see the amended SOW.

2. If they have any maps or layouts that would be helpful as well.

See below from 2018 event.

3. Do you have any information on the timeline they are giving us for install/strike? They sate everything must be completed by 5/23, but don’t give info on when we can start.

Contractor may start whenever they need to based on the work that must be accomplished.

4. Details on walkways, they just state “walkway” but no info on length, are these floors only or covered?

I don’t have the specifics on length of walkways but you may choose to set up a site visit to take measurements.

5. Please clarify what they are wanting/expecting for “hard flooring (no carpet)” The ground under the three tents that require flooring will be grass, contractor can recommend something appropriate for flooring but we do not want carpet.

6. Rain gutters? Are these tents connected to something or each other?

The SOW calls for rain gutters to ensure that in the event of rain, the water is directed off the tent appropriately-any design that accommodates that need is appropriate/acceptable.

7. Are the tent sites in the same locations as they were in 2014? If so, either style tent would only work for the 100'x210' tent, the 60'x80' would have to be a frame/structure style tent because it can not be staked next to the building. Is it possible to schedule a site visit before the RFQ due date?

This is the same site as the 2014 event. The 60’x80’ cannot be staked into the hard surface outside the building. Yes, I can accommodate a site visit, please contact me directly sarah.e.rodino@uscg.mil

8. Will non-U.S. citizens be permitted to install equipment on this project?

Yes, but foreign nationals will require more administrative processes on the visitor management side as per the DHS requirements. The vendor will also need to provide documentation (work permits, green cards etc.) so that individuals can be vetted.

9. I have not seen the answers to the questions I asked on Monday 3/21/2022 posted on

SAM.gov to date. I am also having problems finding ADA restroom trailers to meet the specs on the SOW, specifically the ADA trailers are smaller and have 3 toilets and two sinks. Is it possible to use one ADA restroom trailer and one regular trailer or two ADA trailers and one regular trailer?

Vendor must provide a minimum of 8 toilets.

A minimum of one toilet must be ADA compliant if restrooms are unisex.

A minimum of one toilet per gender must be ADA compliant if restrooms are not unisex.

10. Can restrooms enter the facility loaded with water?

Restroom trailers are self-contained, plan to provide them fully set up with water included. Should not be an issue for security

11. Will staging area be provided for materials?

mailto:sarah.e.rodino@uscg.mil

Storage area for staging can be provided upon request but must be located as directed by the government

12. Can small equipment such as small articulated loaders remain onsite?

Small equipment, such as small articulated loaders may remain onsite in the days prior to the event for set up, but during the events must be moved to another location on campus as determined by the government.

13. What power is available at the staging tent area?

At the staging tent there is power available for the fans, 3 standard GFI outlets

14. Will the contractor be provided feed for the visual display inside the tent?

Yes, the government will arrange for there to be a feed from cameras being provided separately.

15. For fueling the generators, are there any restrictions on where this can be performed?

Does the unit need to be moved to hard surface?

The contractor shall place the unit on a base during initial installation and use absorbent pads during refueling. No movement of the unit is required for refueling.
