Vendor Questions
1. What characteristics are you trying to avoid by specifying a "non-web-based system"? Do you mean you do not want the system to be cloud-based?
Answer: Correct, want it to run on our internal server.
2. What is envisioned to be stored in lockers? Please provide details on quantity and sizes.
Answer: Anything from laptops, mobile phones, weapons, handheld radio’s, and personal items. Potential for 2 or more.
3. How many card slots do you need?
Answer: 10 to 20
4. Do you want the key management system to be integrated into your current identity management system and/or access control system?
Answer: No
5. Please provide additional details about how long the delivery scanning process should take.
Answer: 1 to 2 hours
6. The solicitation mentions a fleet of “150 law enforcement vehicles,” but does not specify a total number of slots. How many key slots does your requested key control system require?
Answer: 144
7. The key sets to be stored vary in size somewhat, with about two-thirds being small-size sets and about one-third being large-size sets. The solicitation mentions that the system being bid should “provide 16-key modules,” which could create problems for users when removing or returning large key sets. Do you want the bid to include ALL 16-slot modules or perhaps the same originally quoted combination of 16s and 8s?
Answer: Both 16s and 8s.
