Range Requirements:

• The range must be indoors

• The range shall provide a minimum of twenty (20) simultaneous firing points with the availability to train 24 students (twice/week) on Tuesdays and 24 students on Thursdays from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM. All of the students need 4 hours of Range time.

Indoor range must meet the following criteria:

• Must allow for target placement a minimum distance of 1.5 feet from the firing line, and a maximum distance of 75 feet from the firing line

• All covering supports, barricades or barricade holders on the range shall be constructed of a material that does not deflect/ricochet rounds that inadvertently strike it (Example: wood)

• TSA will provide all ammunition, targets and firearms instructors

• TSA estimates that it will require 360 hours of range time per year. Additional hours may be necessary for a variety of reasons (e.g. hiring surges, changes in training requirements, instructor training, remediation etc.). Any additional hours are inherently considered to be within the scope of the contract, as the contract is intended to provide for all firearms training needs of the Training Center.

However, this is NOT a requirements contract. Any increase in the number of contracted hours can only be made by the Contracting Officer and will be done via written contract modification. No on-site changes are authorized.
