Question – Answer Tracker
1. Cages manufactured with wood or plastic in the sizes you are looking at are notorious for sagging in the middle in time. Stainless steel will not. Cages manufactured with wood or plastic are also notorious for the cage door hinge to cage attachment point widening over time and causing the cage door to operate poorly. Stainless steel weighs less and is also cheaper to ship.
Would the TSA consider steel cages with steel door and hinges (vice aluminum)?
Answer: Stainless are noisy. This does not work in surgery prep area. They echo when dogs bark and when they “dig”.
2. We can manufacture 40”h cages, however our casters will add 6.75” to the height of the cage. Is this acceptable?
Answer: Yes
