About this file
This document provides questions, answers and clarifications related to a Request for Information from the Department of Homeland Security Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office. The RFI seeks an updated rough order of magnitude cost estimate from industry for developing 2-3 Thallium Bromide-based Radioisotope Identification Device prototypes over approximately 12 months. Respondents are asked to complete an online survey by 5 October 2022 to provide their cost estimates and input on proposed contract structure. The RFI also announces an upcoming THOR Industry Day in early 2023 to present status updates on Thallium Bromide detector research and demonstration and gather feedback on the THOR strategy and technical requirements prior to releasing a formal prototype integration solicitation later that year.
