  • The solicitation provides details on acceptable equivalencies for specific PPE items, such as flight suits, balaclavas, and gloves.
  • The original solicitation closing date was August 23, 2024, but a two-week extension was requested due to the European summer holiday.

2SOWRegarding the Schuberth P100N-A Safety Helmet with Visor for this bid. Since this specific helmet is made to order, are you able to provide the helmet sizes needed? We would like to ensure the manufacturer can provide the correct amount/sizes by October 1st should we place an order. I’ve attached a size reference provided by the manufacture.IAW page 2 of the SOW, helmets must be available in four sizes (46-52, 53-56, 57-60, and 61-65 centimeters), as well as special helmet sizes upon request. IAW page 6 of the SOW, no quantity estimates of sizes will be provided on this solicitation for each type of equipment. FPS will be providing the vendors sizes on the BPA call. Sizing will be known 30 days prior to the start of the class. Offerors should be providing a price that would apply to any of the sizes requested.
3SOWIn addition to sending the RFQ attachment, please let me know if we should send any additional documentation when submitting a bid.IAW page 82 & 83 of the SOW, "In the event the Vendor chooses to provide PPE that are of a different brand than identified in the SOW, the vendor shall provide supporting documentation (cut sheets) that demonstrates the non-brand name item meets the salient characteristics". Therefore, if proposing a non-brand name item, vendors are required to submit a cut sheet as an attachment to their proposal. In result, vendors are required to provide a pricing proposal (filling out the SF1449), cut sheets (if applicable), past performance questionnaire, and past performance forms for any of its reference contracts to supplement its non-price technical proposal.
