GENERAL QUESTIONS
The proposal call is marked “ER CFP FY18” and “ER BAA FY18” and describes proposals for FY18 funds. But the instructions ask the white paper file names and email submission subject lines to begin with “FY17ER …” Is this correct, or should we be using “FY18ER…?”
Please defer to the instructions provided for this year’s BAA and CFP solicitations regarding file naming conventions.
Does the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation under solicitation number 70RDND18R00000001 or 70RDND18R00000002 contain requirements similar to a current contract? Or, is this a new requirement for the government?
This is for a new requirement.
RTA-01: Mobile Active Interrogation using Neutrons (MAIN)
Page 11, Phases III & IV: Will DNDO provide the SNM and test facility for the testing in these Phases?
For Phase III and earlier, DNDO may be able to provide limited amounts of materials for vendor use during development. Test facilities will not be provided for these phases. For Phase IV, a more comprehensive set of materials of interest will be used and provided by DNDO. As stated in the solicitation description for Phase IV, DNDO will likely utilize a non-vendor site for the Phase IV demonstration.
Page 9, Section 2.1: Is the development allowed to focus only on SNM detection, or must other types of contraband, such as explosives and drugs, also be included?
It is expected that proposed systems will be able to detect SNM, explosives, and drugs per the topic area description.
RTA-02: Radiation Isotope Identification Device (RIID) Based on Thallium Bromide (TlBr)
None Submitted
RTA-03: Nuclear Detection through Centralized Data Analytics
Does DNDO have a preferred or sample dataset for the non-physical data (manifest, import, financial) that could be provided as GFE?
The non-physical data sets that could be provided as government-furnished information or obtained from other sources will be discussed at the time of contract award. No particular data set is “preferred” at this time.
File details come from the government source that posted it.
