5. Questions and answers in red
a. I see in the descripon at first it menons inside and outside plant fiber opc and copper cabling. Under Task 1 and 2 all it menons is the Cat 6 and accessories. Is there fiber opc involved?
a. No fiber is involved.
b. I also see site restoraon of non- paved and paved surfaces. Again, all I see is the Cat 6 and accessories. Is that just general wording you must put in the descripon?
a. That is a generic statement on the SOW
c. Under list of materials, it says approximately 4000’ of CAT 6 Cable (Blue). In task 2 it says 14 Single Data Drops and then 4 Single Computer Data Drops to make a total of 18 drops. At 300’ max runs that would total out to 5400 feet. My esmaon is some of them are shorter than that so that is where the 4000 feet came from. Is that correct?
a. Yes, all of the runs are less than 300 and the 4000- is esmated to be enough.
d. Contractor shall provide and install camera data drops between the Cat6 patch panel and into interviewing rooms AA1, AB1, BA1, BB1, CA1, , CA2, CB1, CB2, AA2, AB2, BA2 and BB2 on the ceiling opposite corners, of building 381. This says opposite corners. Are there already cameras in the opposite corners or does there need to be 2 runs per room?
a. No there isn’t any cameras currently installed. The contractor will install two single drops opposite or caddy corner from each other
e. In the same spot it says, “Per atached building drawing”. I do not see the drawing on Construct Connect.
a. Send CO NDA atached to the solicitaon for drawing.
f. There is nothing about cameras. Is someone else installing those?
a. Cameras will be installed by an different onsite contractor
6. Queson: Do you know if the ceilings are acouscal les or gypsum boards? This will help me determine the labor hours required for the job.
a. Answer: Gypsum
7. Queson: Under the site restoraon, is it expected that a new circuit (Fiber feed/copper feed) is brought in from the outside ISP, using an exisng circuit or Campus Cabling (Interbuilding Backbone feed from another building)?
a. Answer No, this is Category 6 cable being install within the building. No, new circuit is involved.
