About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for FEMA solicitation 70FB8026Q00000049 addressing clarifications on equipment procurement requirements.
The solicitation requires a Fairbanks 3" B5442K pump with a 7.5HP motor featuring a bronze impeller. This is a strict brand-name requirement, and FEMA will not accept "or equal" submissions regardless of technical equivalency documentation provided. Contractors must submit their quotes directly to the individual who posted the requirement. The submission deadline is August 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM Central Time (resolving a discrepancy between the SF1449 form and the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation). Regarding scope of work, the contractor's responsibility is limited to successful delivery of the items in the capacity that meets government requirements, as stated in the Statement of Work, with installation at the Mount Weather facility not explicitly required as part of the contract obligation.
