Questions and Responses 1

Q1. Is there a preferred brand for the apparel?

No, there is no preference for brand. Please see SOW for item(s) specifications.

Q2. Will patterns, swatches, and contents of the fabric be supplied?

No, due to time constraints there will be no samples provided. Offeror’s shall request overnight shipping labels, to send a sample of each item being proposed in order for the Technical Team to evaluate. Apparel must meet the specifications in the Statement of work and one sample of each item being proposed needs to be sent by the date specified in the solicitation.

Q3. Do you have a reference of pictures, technical pack, or other description of what the jacket and vest would look like?

No, there is no picture of the jacket and vest. Please see the SOW for specifications.

Q4. Can you confirm whether these should be direct embroidery, an emblem, or a combination of both?

DHS emblem on left chest, “FEMA” below (embroidered/removal patch) based on the material.

Some vest materials can only take screen print. Jpg. of FEMA logo included as an Attachment D.

Q5. Should the pricing include delivery, or would you prefer to have that listed as a separate line item?

Pricing is to include F.O.B. delivery. When completing Attachment B make sure to include shipping in the unit and total price

Q6. Do you want each garment individually bagged and labeled, or would you prefer them boxed in bulk with the garment type and size clearly indicated on the box?

There is no shipping preference, so long as the package is organized and to label all items for easy identification, clearly indicating the apparel type and sizes. There is no preference in the size of each type of sample being shipped for evaluation.

Q7. Can you provide a vector file or specs for the DHS/FEMA logo, such as thread colors, dimensions, etc?

No, there is some variation expected, so long as the items meet the specifications in the SOW.

Q8. Could you confirm whether the Berry Amendment applies to this procurement?

Berry Amendment is Department of Defense specific and is not applicable to this requirement.

Q9. The solicitation mentions a 20-page limit for the proposal, but it is unclear whether this applies to each part of the proposal.
