About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by FEMA's Logistics Management Directorate (LMD) seeking market research on vehicle and equipment maintenance services for their Contiguous United States National Fleet Equipment (CNFE). The RFI targets vendors capable of providing maintenance personnel at four distribution centers located in Atlanta, GA; Fort Worth, TX; Greencastle, PA; and Tracy, CA. Required services include routine preventive maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs, inspection and diagnostics, emergency breakdown response, fleet management reporting, parts replacement, and related services for a diverse fleet of heavy and light-duty vehicles, trailers, water tankers, and material handling equipment.

The document contains 12 detailed questions to potential vendors, focusing on maintenance capabilities, mechanic qualifications, staffing strategies, emergency repair capabilities, parts procurement, and supply chain management. Key areas of inquiry include the industry's approach to specialized vs. general maintenance, mechanic training and certification, background check requirements, staff retention, emergency repair protocols, parts availability, and mitigation strategies for potential supply chain disruptions. This RFI is explicitly for market research purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation, with FEMA seeking comprehensive insights into vendor capabilities for future fleet maintenance requirements.
