No. Question Government Response
The 1st paragraph of Section D. Plastic sheeting Specifications says: The Product supplied should not exceed 70 pounds. In Table 1: Plastic Sheeting Specification says a requirement of 10 mil. A True
20'x100' 10 mil would weight about 96 pounds, and if the material calls for any Scrim this would put the weight of this sheeting over 100 pounds. Please clarify.
The product supplied should not exceed 70lbs. The weight limitation is to ensure one person can safely carry the roll onto a roof. There is 10 mil plastic sheeting, available on the market, that meets this requirement.
If imports are accepted would there be any Countries of Origin not acceptable? If a solicitation is issued, it will incorporate the applicable provisions and clauses. It is the responsibility of the contractor to familiarize themselves with the clauses and the acceptable countries of origin.
The 3rd paragraph of Section D. Plastic sheeting Specifications reads: Any scrim reinforced material will be a minimum of 900 Denier and spaced no further apart than 3/8 inch from all directions. Is a scrim reinforced material a mandatory requirement? I did touch on this question in my previous email but would a polyethylene material as an alternative be accepted if it can meet the strength requirements?
Yes, scrim reinforced material is a mandatory requirement. Polyethylene material as an alternative will not be accepted. The mention of 9000 Denier was an error. The draft Statement of Work has been revised to reflect the correct specification of 1000 Denier.
Are you saying 6000 rolls to each AFFECTED location within 72 hours? The selected vendor should have the capability to provide a minimum of 6K rolls. The 6k rolls may be divided and delivered to multiple locations. For example, 2,000 rolls delivered to Texas and 4,000 rolls delivered to
Guam.
Would you please share state of work, Quantity and Due date? The draft Statement of Work is attached to this pre-solicitation notice. A finalized Statement of Work will be provided if a solicitation is issued.

Would a polyethylene material as an equivalent be accepted if it can meet the ASTM Testing requirements? No.
16 Can previous order quantities be provided for Steady State and Emergency Response requests? No.

20 Will 72 rolls be delivered to 1 location or multiple locations? Multiple locations
21 When do you anticipate the official solicitation coming out, and how many days to get bid in?
