RFQ 70CMSD20Q00000014

Amendment 1 – Vendor Question and Government Response

Date: June 30, 2020

Vendor Question:

Reference RFQ for Climate Control Containers

"Refrigerant must use a hydrochlorofluorocarbon (HCFC-22) commonly known as R-22 alternative such as GENTRON AZ-20, SUVA 410A or PURON "

Will either or both of the following refrigerants be acceptable? We would be employing a replacement for R-134A rather than R-22. Both of these refrigerants meet the criteria for 'Alternatives to HCFC refrigerants'

R1234yf, product name Solstice yf (Honeywell) or Opteon yf (Dupont). (GWP = 4). SNAP 'Acceptable' for automobiles, etc.

R290, various product names

Government Response:

R1234yf and R290 are acceptable
