About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) template for a federal solicitation related to a security camera and surveillance system installation. The document contains five key questions and government responses regarding camera coverage, including interior detention cell cameras (9 cameras in cells, 12 ceiling cameras), parking garage and exterior camera placements, workstation requirements (five total locations), and current rooftop camera infrastructure. The government indicates there are three existing rooftop PTZ cameras and offers a site visit for potential bidders, with further details available in Attachment A, Amendment 00001. The Q&A provides specific technical details to help potential contractors accurately scope and price their proposal for the security system deployment.

1 A. 19 I've counted the rooms (holding cell) on page 19 for interior is 15 cameras, and 2 multi-lens cameras. No other interior coverage is needed anywhere else?

The correct breakdown is: 9 interior cameras for each detention cells and 12 ceiling cameras throughout the detention open areas.

2 A. 19

In the parking garage coverage: Is the only coverage needed, the sally port entrance or does the whole garage needed to be covered?

Example: Entrance, Exits, garage parking areas, parking lots, elevators, etc.

Coverage needed for: Exterior entrance and exit of Salley Port, Interior of Salley Port, Employee parking lot, Government vehicle secured parking lot, underground garage parking area.

3 A. 19

How many workstations are needed?

Five workstations needed (front security desk, rear guard shack, control room, 2nd floor secured room, 3rd floor PIV room where the main security system will be).

4 A. 19 There's no exterior camera count on SOW. Should we just the google earth image and base it off of that for the security reccomendations? Google Earth can help. Currently the building has three rooftop PTZ type cameras.

Will there be a planned site visit for this SOW so we can get an accurate proposal for this RFQ? Because the only site visit scehduled mentioned is only after this has been awarded.

A site visit is being offered. See Attachment A, Amendment 00001 for further instructions.
