70B03C23Q00000107 AMENDMENT ONE – Q&A Page 1 of 2

Title: CBP Non-Exclusive Firing Range Use

RFQ: 70B03C23Q00000107

AMENDMENT ONE - Questions and Answers

1. Question: Our classroom has about 750 square feet of mat space, which is slightly smaller than the 900 square feet [required] in the SOW. Please advise if that is sufficient to meet the needs of

CBP?

Answer:

Yes, with proper preventative safety measures and smaller work groups CBP could still effectively accomplish physical training in 750 square feet while ensuring adequate distancing to avoid injury.

2. Question: We can meet the number of days required but we do have other users already scheduled for the space so we will need to work together to make the scheduled days’ work for all parties. We generally schedule on a first come, first served, reservation basis. Is CBP able to work with our organization to coordinate usage based on other parties’ schedules?

Answer:

Yes. CBP will do the utmost to provide schedule requests up to 12 months in advance in an effort minimize scheduling conflicts with other parties. CBP understands that rental of facility space is not exclusive to the agency and will exert flexibility where possible. 7 day advanced notice is requested for adjustments to previously confirmed reservations (with exception to unanticipated facility closures)

3. Question: Our bays can handle 8-12 officers per bay per day. The SOW refers to 15 officers at a time which is slightly more than can shoot simultaneously in our bays, and 15 officers would require two bays. Does CBP anticipate bringing more than 15 officers per day and therefore require more than one bay per day?

Answer:

CBP may require 15 shooters. Officers can train in smaller volleys, groups of 7-8 on the firing line at time; or reserve an additional bay if required.

4. Question: We are just beginning to contract with outside trainers this year and are unable to commit at this time to multiple subsequent option years. We are hopeful that we will both be satisfied with the arrangement here and that we can continue into the future but cannot commit to do so at this time.

Answer:

Please provide pricing for the period of performance you can provide range usage.

5. Question: Please clarify the way you want to see the bid. We generally charge based on the number of shooters that attend each range day. Based on the pricing sheet, it appears that CBP may want to see the total price per day. Since the number of officers and number of range officers that will attend and how many bays will be required, it is difficult to price to your pricing table.

Answer:

The Pricing Table has been adjusted to accommodate pricing per officer/shooter usage for one day. Please see attached.
