Background The Advanced Instrumentation Systems Technology (AIST) Test Technology Area (TTA) program addresses the test technology gaps resulting from emerging weapon systems that need to be tested at Department of Defense (DoD) open air ranges, undersea ranges, installed systems test facilities, hardware-in-the-loop laboratories, and measurement test facilities. Instrumentation requirements for systems under test are increasing exponentially for new weapons systems.
