About this file

This document outlines the minimum insurance requirements for the Water Playground Safety Netting project administered by Broward County's Parks and Recreation Division in Florida. The contractor must maintain General Liability coverage with a minimum of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, with broad form coverage including explosion/collapse/underground and contractual liability provisions. Additional required coverage includes Auto Liability at $500,000 combined bodily injury and property damage (waivable if no driving is involved), Workers' Compensation at statutory limits, and Employers Liability at $500,000 per accident. Excess Liability/Umbrella coverage may be used to supplement minimum liability requirements. Claims-Made policies must be maintained for at least three years after project completion.

Broward County must be named as an additional insured on all policies, with the contractor's insurance providing primary coverage without requiring county contribution. The contractor must waive subrogation rights in favor of Broward County and provide 30 days' written notice of cancellation, or 10 days' notice for non-payment. Professional Liability and Pollution/Environmental Liability coverage are designated as not applicable (N/A) for this project. The solicitation response must be submitted electronically through Bonfire BPRO by the specified closing date and time, with the county providing a designated period for vendors to submit questions and seek clarification regarding requirements.
