The Hayden Arch Bridge, located approximately 5 miles west of Cody, Wyoming, spans the Shoshone River at 5,060 feet above sea level and provides access to the Bureau of Reclamation's Buffalo Bill Dam Power Plant. The project scope includes bridge repairs encompassing concrete spall, crack, delamination, and patch repairs to the superstructure and deck; reconstruction of bridge approaches; minor drainage improvements; signing and guardrail replacement; installation of a waterproofing membrane on the bridge deck; and construction of a temporary debris shield. Principal work items include soil erosion control, roadway aggregate (310 tons), asphalt concrete pavement (350 tons), membrane waterproofing (445 square yards), repair concrete work (38 to 80 square yards), concrete curbing (520 linear feet), and guardrail system installation (263 linear feet). The bridge will remain closed to public traffic throughout construction. Interested prime contractors must submit responses by November 4, 2026, at 2:00 PM MST. The anticipated advertisement is January 2027, with award expected in March 2027, notice to proceed in April 2027, and contract completion targeted for October 2027, representing a total construction duration of 120 days.
The estimated cost range for this project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. This is a set-aside opportunity designed to determine sufficient interest from qualified prime contractors, including small businesses, HUBZone small businesses, women-owned small business concerns, 8(a) small businesses, and service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses.
