About this file
This presentation outlines the scope of work for the NM FLAP 159(1) Catwalk Access Road project. The project involves replacing 4.8 miles of asphalt surfacing on NM 174, widening sections to 10-foot lanes with 1-foot shoulders, replacing two existing concrete low water crossings of Whitewater Creek, constructing six additional concrete low water crossings on tributary drainages, and raising grades in historically flooded sections. The scope also includes replacing major drainage culverts. Contract requirements include complying with various environmental permits, developing erosion control measures and best practices, conducting nest surveys prior to vegetation removal from March to August, adhering to the Gila National Forest Fire Plan, and meeting a completion date of August 30, 2024 for Schedule A work. The full and open solicitation was advertised with bid opening on July 27, 2023 and intent to award the entire scope of work. Questions regarding Solicitation Number 6982AF23B000019 must be submitted in writing by July 20.
