About this file
This document contains questions and answers from a pre-solicitation conference for federal contract opportunity number 6982AF20B000044 to improve roads and parking areas at the Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge in Nevada. The project includes safety improvements to US Route 93 including acceleration and deceleration lanes near the refuge entrance and campground access road approximately 1.5 miles north. It will also reconstruct the visitor center road and pave the visitor center parking area. Notable details are that there is no designated water source, borrow pit, or waste disposal site and contractors must secure their own. The existing gravel parking area at Black Canyon may be used for staging with approval. Bidders can attend the public bid opening in person.
