Questions and Answers during Advertisement for NM FTFS 333(1), Juan Tabo & La Luz
August 24, 2018
Questions Answers 1 Will the road be completely shutdown during construction
(minus the residence needing to get to their homes)?
Route 333 will only be closed to public traffic from Station 108+60 to the parking area per the temporary traffic detour, sheet T20 of the plan set. All other routes will remain open to traffic during construction.
2 Are alternate methods of construction an option (pulverize the existing road in place and use the GSA as the base, limiting the haul off of materials as well as expediting the completion of the project)?
The only pavement removal on the project will occur in the parking lot. The parking lot area is not large enough to accommodate the stockpile of GSA materials. There is a Government provided waste area in close proximity of the parking lot. The proposed alternate method of construction is not thought to provide a cost savings.
3 Where is the nearest water source for this project? A water source has not been identified for this project and will have to be determined by the contractor.
4 There are large boulders on the project, will these have to be moved or can they be incorporated into the landscape?
Some of the on-site boulders could possibly be incorporated into the rockery wall or remain on site as landscape boulders.
