A-90 Landscaping/Snow Removal Vendor Site Visit 6/7/2024 Questions asked by vendors during visit
1. Where is snow disposal area in the event snow needs to be removed due to heavy snow fall?
Answer: I pointed out on the map where it is designated, and I also physically showed the group.
2. Does the pruning spec only apply to lower branches for the trees?
Answer: Yes
3. Can the pricing for lot treatment and walkway treatment be two-line items instead of one? The thought process is that the walkways usually need more treatment, and it would probably be more cost effective. On the pricing sheet, there are two separate line items.
4. Is it possible to have line items for different kinds of snow removal equipment? The thought process is, instead of having 5 shovelers, can a price be given for equipment like a 4-wheeler with a plow, a snowblower, etc. The thought is that it would cut down on the amount of shovelers required for the site. Yes, this is on the pricing sheet.
5. Question was asked about snow being removed curb to curb and where the catch basin locations.
Answer: Yes. All snow needs to be removed from lot to expose the curbs. Physically pointed out the catch basins in the parking lot and stated that they must be cleared at the end of each storm.
6. Are they able to separately put in a line item for Pre/Post emergent weed killer?
Answer: I know we allow weed killer if it is EPA approved. When it comes to billing and line items, I will submit the question.
