14. Description of Amendment (continued): It has been determined necessary and in the best interest of the Government to amend the solicitation to provide responses to Requests for Information (RFIs).
14.1. The following RFI responses are hereby provided for informational use:
RFI 1: What are the elevations of all concrete locations needing remodeling?
Response: Elevations are not available due to limited survey data available.
RFI 2: At the flagpole location, notes specify the removal of pavers; are we replacing them? What material goes in this area?
Response: Remove and replace with similar style pavers. Flagpole lights are to be adjusted to be flush with new pavers.
RFI 3: At the southeast sidewalk, is the concrete surrounding manhole considered part of the sidewalk?
Response: The manhole and concrete encasing manhole are not part of the sidewalk since they were installed to a fixed elevation. New C&G will have to be installed around them flush to best extent possible to not disrupt drainage paths.
RFI 4: Should we consider removing the doors at the south entrance, given that the hinges are set into the concrete?
Response: Doors should not be removed unless otherwise proven infeasible for concrete work to be completed in area.
RFI 5: Is it necessary to remove or replace the three bollards at the south entrance?
Response: No, bollards to remain.
RFI 6: Do we need to replace or remove the flagpole after the replacement of the pavers?
Response: No, flagpole to remain after paver replacement.
RFI 7: Whom should we contact when demolishing the curb and gutter on the north side near the buried fuel tanks?
Response: Project priority point of contact will be the assigned Contracting Officer's Representative (COR). Alternative contact will be provided prior to commencement of construction.
RFI 8: In areas where the awning was an afterthought, should we install a trench drain or a gutter system on the awning to prevent surface water runoff?
Response: No. However, the awarded contractor may propose recommended drainage alterations during construction for review.

RFI 9: In reference to C103, do we need to extend the C&G fix south to the next gutter belly -two sections further south?
Response: If ponding cannot be resolved by repairing and raising the elevations in the highlighted areas on C103, contractor may elect to extend C&B work as necessary to allow for proper drainage.
RFI 10: Regarding C110 C&G EXTENSION: Should it tie into the existing drain, and what is the recommended slope into the rockery? Approximately 45'.
Response: The C&G extension serves as additional surface runoff in the event the existing storm drain overflows, it does not need tying into. Allowable storm drainage pipe slope: 2% to 10%.
Angle for rockery at discharge outlet is maximum 40 degrees.
14.2. The offer due date and time remains unchanged. Offeror shall submit a signed/acknowledged copy of this amendment with the firm’s offer.
