1. Current bins are labeled Waste Management, does the facility have a franchise agreement in place?
Response: No.
2. We see the current provider is Waste

3. If no contract is currently in place are services being provided on an as needed basis?
And if so, what is the method of payment?
Response: See Question #2. Services are invoiced monthly.
4. According to the PWS in paragraph 3.1
“Containers will be emptied as necessary to keep the trash from falling to the ground.” Is the FAA requesting that the contractor continuously monitor the trash during the core hours to comply with the statement in paragraph 3.1?
Response: See Revised SOW section 3.1 for approximate size and frequency.
5. Extra Pickups: Will there be instances where the facility might have a need for additional pickups beyond the regular schedule, would these be considered extra services? If so, do you require a separate quotation for such extra pickups?
Response: Yes, there may be instances where additional pickups may be required. Yes, a separate quote will be required for such pickups on an as needed basis and will be approved via a modification to the contract.
6. IRT 3.3.1 Work Control: The PWS states that work requirements to be completed within specified time limits and in conformance with quality standards “established herein”. Can the

Response: See the SOW Section 3.2 first sentence, all work must be performed during regular hours.
Also, refer to SOW section 5.0 for the definition of regular hours.
7. Saturday work is specified in 3.1. What is the security protocol since this is outside of the core hours of M-F?
Response: We have a guard 24/7, the same protocols apply.
8. PWS calls out for an escorted service on this requirement. If escorts are required at all times what is the security access requirements for this service and are there any costs for this type of clearance.
Response: There is no cost for the access requirement, the driver will complete an SCT visitor’s form.
9. Does the FAA have an estimated amount of the tonnage of waste per month for the facility?
Response: No.

Response: No. Compliance with the state of
California Rules and Regulations that we must adopt.
11. Will the FAA accept a larger container than the 6 cubic yards that are specified in the PWS?
Response: Yes, as long as if it fits within the area of the container location and pre-approval from the is provided by the CO.
12. The two trash bins are inside of an enclosure. They are currently 2-4 cubic yard trash bins because 6 cubic yard bins are too large to both fit inside the enclosure and 6yd containers do not have wheels. There is an 8 cubic yard recycle bin off to the side of the enclosure that gets ample amount of cardboard. It is serviced on Thursdays. There is a 3 cubic yard organics bin onsite, not a 6yd organics container. Organics is not offered in 6 cubic yard containers due to the weight of the material and the container. Could you kindly clarify what services prospective bidders need to provide

pricing for?
Response: See the revised SOW. Each contractor needs to provide the container size compatible to our needs.
13. The solicitation calls for a 6 cubic yard organics container, but that material is too heavy for a 6yd container and not something haulers offer. The standard organics bins available are 2yd and or 3yd due to the weight of the organics materials.
Please confirm if the 6yd trash containers are required to have wheels and the organics is required to be a 6yd container.
Response: All containers should have wheels.
Currently, grass and organics are combined. If you propose a separate container, provide the size in writing to the COR/CO.
