The new wall shall be approximately 6’ offset of the East wall in the Room 243A to achieve central location of existing ceiling light fixtures in the newly created corridor. The wall shall be approximately 26’ long and 9’ high to run wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling parallel to East wall of the room 243A.
Note: Upon opening of the ceiling, the Contractor shall remove ceiling tiles along the proposed new wall line and investigate the grid structure of the ceiling. Locate mains and T-interlocks between mains. Develop preferable solution as to connecting metal studs to the ceiling grid.
1.1.3 Install/demolish interior doors and frames, as follows:
• Install one (1) 20-min fire-rated door at the South end of the new corridor to access the newly created corridor from main Corridor 238A;
• Install one (1) 20-min fire-rated door at the North wall of the Room 243A, close to NW corner of the room to provide second access to training room 243A from training area cubicles on the back of the Classrooms #1, #2, #3, and #4;
• Demolish existing door and frame at North end of the new corridor, creating unobstructed access from training area cubicles to the new corridor to match egress area on the West side of the cubicles.
TOTAL: Install two (2), demolish one (1) interior door on second floor Automation Wing
1.2 ELECTRICAL/DATA CABLES RE-WIRING (completed in-house, not for bid):
1.2.1 Relocate three (3) out of four (4) existing electrical receptacles and one (2) existing data receptacle (double RJ-45) along the West wall to the newly constructed wall, as follows:

• Install ¾” PVC conduits along the studs to the ceiling, 4 each at those studs where new electrical/data boxes are located;
• Install cable junction boxes along the wall surface close to ceiling as needed to splice old and new cables, or install all new cabling from existing three electrical receptacles in the NW wall to newly constructed wall;
• Install blank cover plates on those junction boxes where receptacles relocated to the new wall;
• Consider pulling new electrical wires where feasible in lieu of splicing, to eliminate as much as possible the blank covered junction boxes.
1.2.2 Relocate 3-way 3-Gang electrical switch at NE corner of the Room 243A to the NW corner of the Room 243A, where the Second 20-min rated door shall be installed, as described in section 1.1.3 of this SOW;
1.2.3 Re-wire ceiling lighting fixtures, to have three (3) fixtures along the West wall controlled with electrical switch, separate from the rest of the Room 243A. Install two

The location of the new sprinklers must be min 4" from walls, min 6’ - max 15’ from adjacent sprinklers. The Contractor shall open the ceiling to investigate the water piping layout and identify preferable solution (extend branch line or add elbows, and such) to include new sprinklers to the system.
Sprinkler piping must be pitched to drain back to the source per NFPA 13, without trapped sections. Sprinkler pipe mechanical fittings must be cut groove, not rolled groove;
Sprinkler piping must be seismically braced, consistent with the NFPA 13 and ASCE 7.
