697DCK-24-Q-00080 - FY24 ONE-TIME PR for QPN ATCBI Tree Trimming Service Questions and Answers:
1. Disposal Requirements: The Statement of Work includes seemingly contradictory instructions regarding tree disposal: Could you please clarify which trees and materials need to be hauled away and which can remain on site?
o It states that some cut trees can be left in place (those 600ft east of the fence line).
o It also mentions that wood chips from downed trees can be left outside the perimeter.
o However, there's a general statement that "All trees and branches will be hauled away and/or disposed of by the Contractor in accordance with all State, Federal and local regulations."
Answer: The first 2 bullets mentioned below are correct. The site visit will help point out exactly which trees need to be cut and left, which are typically the much taller trees mentioned in the SOW. There are some already downed trees around the outer perimeter of the fence that can be wood chipped mulched and redistributed around the perimeter.
2. Site Visit: Is it possible to arrange a site visit with someone from the Park Service or the FAA before the bid submission deadline? This would greatly help in understanding the scope of work and any site-specific challenges.
Answer: Contact Dexter Saluda, Office: 808-243-4122 For Site Visits
3. Weekend Work: Given the project completion deadline of September 30, 2024, would weekend work be permitted if necessary to complete the job on time? No Answer.
4. Will there be a POC onsite to show us where the exact trees are in case of no cell service?
Answer: The SOW has the LATITUDE / LONGITUDE Coordinates of trees that need to be cut.
5. Are the trees marked in some type of way? See Above
6. Are any specific licenses required?
Answer: As stated in the SOW, Contractor shall provide all necessary licenses, permits, and insurance to perform the job.
