Amendment 0005

1. . Are propress ittings acceptable to use on copper piping? Propress ittings will eliminate the need for hot work.

Answer: Propress fittings are not acceptable for this project

2. Provide information of existing sub floor, and in particular information sufficient to obtain correct replacement panels should one or more be damaged during work in the server room.

Answer: Not sure what specifics they are looking for, but they are standard raised floor panels found in server rooms, especially those served by Liebert systems.

3. Construction Documents mention to install one CRAC unit at a time, what is commissioning procedure for each unit?

Answer: Each unit must operate and undergo a 7-day operational proving period before starting the next unit as described in contract documents. See procedures provided in contract documents.

4.Are the service elevators large enough to facilitate the movement of CRAC units into and out of the building?

Answer: No, See AHU Movement path shown on Drawing G003 and described in note C.2 on Drawing G003.

5. Please provide contact information of the existing Fire Alarm Contractor

Answer: Honeywell is currently on site installing the new system

6. Please confirm that there is no Security System and/or Components required in this Project.

Answer: Confirmed

7. Please confirm that all chemical treatment and /or piping to the chilled water system or hot water system are shown on M101 and/or M102.

Answer: The piping relevant to this project is shown in M101 and M102

8. Specifications Section 23 21 13 Hydronic Piping.

Is it acceptable to use PRO-PRESS fittings for the 2” chilled water ant the 1” Hot water system in lieu of soldered joints?

Answer: Pro-press fittings are not acceptable for this project

9. Will there be covered storage for the AHUs to be kept during the phased replacement of units?

Answer: Interior storage of AHUs is available, Coordinate with COR.

10. Phasing plan specifies changing only one AHU at a time. To help keep down cost, will Owner permit two AHUs to be changed out at a time? This will save costs on installation time and on Factory start up of each AHU.

Answer: No. Operational redundancy requirements prohibit more than one unit being replaced at a time.

11. Can the stands upon which the existing AHUs sit be reused with the new AHUs?

Answer: No.

12. Will Contractor be permitted to work 4 days Tuesday thru Friday in the weeks there is a Monday Federal holiday and Contractor is not allowed to work onsite?

Answer: Typically, no, however coordinate work hours with COR.

13. Please provide a copy of the sign in sheet?

Answer: Sign in sheet is attached. The registration form is also provided for those who signed up but may have missed the sign in sheet.

14. Hot Water Reheat is not available on units that have chill water piping connections on the right side of the unit. This means that units #9 & #10 cannot have Hot Water Reheat if the chill water piping comes out the right side. Please advise.

Answer: Drawing M102 show AHUs 9 and 10 using the standard coil connections for both chilled and hot water. Use standard connections for all units. For units 6, 7, and 8 run chilled water piping under the stand to the standard piping connection location, include modification in shop drawing submittal for COR approval. No gauges or control devices may be placed under the unit. Only soldered pipe and fittings.

15. The engineer asked for right hand HWR coil connections and right hand Chill Water connections for units 9 & 10, but from the Manufacture the units cannot have HWR when the Chill Water connection is on the right side. Can the Engineer verify and specify the request for units 9 & 10?

Answer: See answer to question 14.

16. -No floorstand height is given in the schedule or specs, Is it possible for the Engineer to confirm for units 9 & 10?

Answer: The trench floor is lower than typical for most raised floor applications. If Liebert will provide a stand tall enough to reach to the bottom, a single stand is acceptable. If not, the Liebert stand must be placed on another stand rated for the Seismic zone. Trench depth varies slightly for each AHU. Provide shop drawings for each stand.

17.-The design shows two floorstands for units. One Liebert floorstand sitting on top of a non-Liebert floorstand. The Manufacture is providing a single floorstand. Is the second one already exist or we need to provide the second one?

Answer: See answer to question 16.

18. "There is no option for Hot Water Reheat on AHU-9 and AHU-10 if the Chill Water piping exits on the right side" (as currently called for in the Drawings).

Answer: See answer to question 14.

Is this what the FAA /ARTCC intended?

#2 Shaft Grounding Ring is not available on EC Fans.

Answer: Disregard shaft grounding ring requirement.

#3 The AHUs are EC Plug Type, so do not have belts

Answer: Disregard belt requirement.

#4 "Floorstand height is not given on the Schedule or Specs. Need to verify height before ordering. Also, the schedule shows two floorstands. One sitting of top of the other. The quote provides a single floorstand. The second floorstand to be provided by others" (so presumably NOT Liebert).

Answer: See answer to question 16.
