About this file
This document is an Addendum #1 for Solicitation SIR 6973GH-26-R-00039, containing a series of Requests for Information (RFI) related to a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) facility door hardware and access control project. The RFI addresses multiple technical and procedural questions, including existing frame reuse, sliding door motor replacement, electrical requirements, security system contingencies, finish painting specifications, submittal approvals, preconstruction site access, escort requirements, wage determinations, and work hour flexibility.
Specific technical details include requirements for Door 1A hardware replacement, which involves installing a new LCN 9550 opener, BEA 10MS41-DA push button, Von Duprin 9847-F concealed rod fire exit device, and a Best seven-pin mortise type cylinder compatible with the building master system. The FAA will provide escorts as needed, review submittals within five business days, and allow extended evening work hours on a case-by-case basis. The applicable wage determination is WD IN20250002, with some positions potentially not covered by Davis-Bacon wage categories.
