About this file

This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the acquisition of DVB-T Remote Viewing Terminals (RVTs) for the Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The RVT must be compatible with the COFDM (Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) DVB-T waveform, incorporate at least two antennas, support radio frequency diversity, and conform to specific size, weight, and environmental requirements. The RVT must use AES-256 encryption and decode MPEG-4/H.264 video. It must have a full-color display supporting 1080p, 720p, and 480p resolutions, and be viewable in full sunlight. The RVT must have operator-selectable SDI and Ethernet outputs. The solicitation number is 6973GH-24-R-00163, and responses are due by 4:00 p.m. Central Time on Friday, September 20, 2024. The FAA intends to award a single purchase order to the lowest priced, technically acceptable responsible offeror. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334511, and the size standard is 1,350 employees.
