ENGINEERING SCOPE OF WORK

LAXA RR-1

Los Angeles, CA December 18, 2017 Prepared by Chris Truong AJW-2W15F, Operations and Infrastructure Engineering Services

Assessment

The existing RR-1 radio and microwave antenna tower structure is currently nearing the end of its service life. This project scope will replace the current 2 tower + catwalk structure with one stairway access tower of the same height. It will accommodate the same amount of radio and microwave facilities as the existing structure to accommodate 11 existing frequencies with spares.

Recommended Scope of Work

1. Supply and installation of (1) 20 ft. x 40 ft. x 20 ft. RR tower to include antenna mounts with 8 ft. separation on top platform. Tower to be equipped with climbing stairs. Includes foundation installation and grounding.

2. Replace all existing cables and junction boxes with new.

3. Remove existing and abandoned foundations within FAA property.

4. Grade and fill to mitigate slope erosion.

5. Proper disposal of tower containing lead-based paint.

All activities to be coordinated with LAWA to fall outside of blue butterfly flight season.
